About this programme

The PMP is the project management credential hiring managers recognise without explanation, and it is also the one people most often fail on their first attempt. This programme covers all three domains of the current Examination Content Outline — People, Process and Business Environment — across predictive, agile and hybrid delivery approaches. You sit four full-length timed mock exams, and after each one we go through a domain-by-domain breakdown of where marks were lost. The 35 contact hours PMI requires are issued as a certificate at the end of the course, and a counsellor reviews your application form before you submit it.

Who should attend

  • Project managers, delivery leads, scrum masters and senior engineers who already run projects and want the credential to match.

Prerequisites

  • A four-year degree plus 36 months of project leadership experience, or a secondary diploma plus 60 months. We check your eligibility on the counselling call before you pay anything.

Curriculum

6 modules, 35 hours of live instruction.

  • Module 1 Project environment and delivery approach 5 hrs

Where predictive, agile and hybrid actually differ, and how the exam expects you to choose between them.

    • Value delivery systems
    • Predictive, agile and hybrid life cycles
    • Governance, PMO types and OPAs
    • Tailoring the approach to the project
  • Module 2 People: leading and building the team 8 hrs

The largest exam domain, and the one most technically strong candidates underestimate.

    • Servant leadership in practice
    • Building shared understanding
    • Conflict management and negotiation
    • Emotional intelligence and stakeholder influence
    • Virtual and distributed teams
  • Module 3 Process: planning, scope, schedule and cost 9 hrs

Baselines, estimating techniques and the calculations that appear on the exam.

    • Scope definition and WBS
    • Estimating: analogous, parametric, three-point
    • Critical path and schedule compression
    • Cost baselines and earned value analysis
  • Module 4 Process: risk, quality, procurement and communications 7 hrs

The supporting knowledge areas, taught around a single running case project.

    • Qualitative and quantitative risk analysis
    • Risk responses and reserves
    • Quality planning and control
    • Procurement types and contract selection
  • Module 5 Business environment and compliance 3 hrs

The smallest domain by weight, but a reliable source of easy marks.

    • Benefits realisation and business value
    • Organisational change management
    • Compliance, regulation and external factors
  • Module 6 Mock exams, debriefs and application support 3 hrs

Four full-length timed papers with a domain-by-domain breakdown after each.

    • Four 180-question timed mocks
    • Domain scoring and gap analysis
    • Exam-day strategy and time management
    • PMI application review before submission

The exam

180 questions, 230 minutes, multiple choice and multiple response, delivered at a Pearson VUE centre or online.
